ATHENA participates in the project with its Information Management Systems Institute (IMSI). IMSI conducts research and innovation (R&I) activities in the areas of data management and large-scale information systems, being one of the leading institutes in the EU in Big Data and AI technologies. IMSI has extensive experience and expertise in data discovery, data analytics, data integration, semantic interoperability, and information extraction and retrieval, including the use of GenAI technologies to manage, analyse and create value from data. IMSI coordinates and participates in several EU and national R&I projects in these areas. Moreover, it actively supports and promotes Open Science activities both at the European and national level.
